NEWTON’S LAW OF GRAVITATION
The magnitudes and the direction of
the gravitational force between two particles are given by the universal law of
gravitation, which was formulated by Newton.
Universal
law of gravitation:
The
gravitational force of attraction between two particles is directly
proportional to the product of the masses of the particles and is inversely proportional
to the square of the distance between the particles. The direction of the force
