PRESSURE IN A FLUID
In
case of solids, the force can be applied in any direction with respect to the
surface, but in liquids, the force must be applied at right angles to the
liquids surface. Therefore, we state the pressure acting on the fluid instead
of force.

WORK AND ENERGY
Definition:
Work is said to be done
if (i) a force is applied on the object and (ii) the object is displaced from
its original position.
Work is said to be done by a force on a body or an object if
the force applied causes a displacement in the body or object.
